I think October is going to be tougher;
gas price will increase in this month

Wondeful Fool

I can't really use my own words to comment such a Wonderful Fool, a book written by a famous Japanese writer Shusako Endo.
The main character, Gaston Bonaparte, the horse-face man taught others in touch with him with his ‘foolishness.'

I better steal the words from that wonderful story itself:

There are some who are cowards from birth.
There are some who are weak by nature.
There are even some who cry easily.
But for such a man, a man both weak and cowardly, to bear the burden of his weakness and struggle valiantly to live a beautiful life – that's what I call great.

For the first time in her life Tomoe came to the realisation that there are fools and fools.
A man who loves others with an open-hearted simplicity, who trusts others, no matter who they are, even if he is deceived or even betrayed – such a man in the present-day world is bound to be written off as a fool. And so he is.
But not just an ordinary fool. He is a wonderful fool.

I almost couldn't take my eyes off this book the moment I started to read it.
I got so absorbed, that when I awoke in the middle of my sleep at 01.00 am, I took this book and read it until almost 04.00 am!
One of the best gripping books I've ever read!
For those in Jakarta, you can find the book from Gramedia, it's cheap, only IDR 20,000!

Dignity is not all being strong, brave, brainy or all that mostly matter to the world, but dignity is as simple as doing good to other people, and perhaps to don't mind to be a fool, a wonderful fool.

New Sensation

When I woke up this morning I had a funny feeling that I just saw in my dream JD wins the RockStar:INXS.

There's a superstitious belief amongst some people in my country that dream is the opposite of reality. I freaked out, and thought why I have to dream him winning. Bad luck!

Fortunately it was not an omen.
JD Fortune is the New Sensation!

Too bad Reality Show creates haters too, not only fans.
Mig and Marty each will be in their own success.
Why worry about them? Why throwing bad words over JD?

Mig Ayesa is great, but he's too well-mannered to rock.
Marty is great, but didn't blend well with INXS as seen at the finale show.

JD, he's great and dynamic.
He thinks fast and outside the box as mentioned by Andrew.

So for JD haters, like JD sang it well:
....You can't always get what you want.....
......You just might find.............
........You get what you need......

JD is What you need.

Now, I'm gonna miss The House Band!
Finally, not All About JD.

Doom Dance

I planned to stay for a short time -at least not until the couple session- when I joined the dance class that day.
The female outnumber the male participants, it's not ok at all, and beside I had an appointment to catch.

Right when the couple session was about to begin that's when I prepared to leave.
But the instructors stopped me, said something like "there's one man left here don't be shy."
Yes it's true, there's one left, and seemed none –of the females- wanted to partner with him. Everyone else had a partner -though mostly female and female- except him and me, cos I never planned to stay. I didn't rush when the instructor told all the dancers to go on partner.

I felt it was bad if I refused and chose to leave straightaway. That would be too embarrassing for that left alone guy.

"Don't be afraid, he's a healthy baby" that's the instructor throwing a lousy joke over the paunchy guy.
It sounded rather stupid to me.

I accepted the healthy baby as my dance partner anyway.
When I was standing face to face with the healthy baby, I just realised that big gold chain necklace on his neck!
OMG!! A pimp!
Sorry...for guys with the same necklace, but really that's what I learnt from American flicks. Guy with a big gold chain necklace is usually a pimp.

Hand in hand, the music was playing, all were trying to rehearse all steps we had previously in solo. 1..2...3...4...5....6....
I was trying to concentrate by watching the instructor on my left so I didn't have to look at the healthy baby with pimp necklace, but the "healthy baby", my poor partner was bugging me with his trying to be friendly mode and instructing me what to do as if he were a trainer.

Saying things like "relax yourself" with shaking my hands lightly accordingly, then "the counting is like this: 1..2...3..."... "turn around at the count of five" ... "wait for my sign when I raise my hand"....etc...etc...

Hellooo....
Like I were not around before? Did he think he's the instructor? I was really pissed.
I wanted to say "stop shaking my hand and telling me to relax you pimp!"

Instead I told him, no, I shouted at him "OK!! like this, 1..2..3, ALRIGHT!"
He's stunned.

Thanks God, break time, so I evacuated myself from the doom!
Beside it's already 10 min to my appointment.
That's my first -hopefully my last- doom dance!

End of Rockstar

Can't wait to see the result of Rockstar: INXS, yet feel sad if the programme finally end.
I'm glad about the left contestants, they all deserve it.
It's a pity to see three of them will be off of the show.

Can't really make up my mind who I think best fits INXS, Marty or JD?
Both have wonderful voices, good stage performances and songwriting/ composing talents, especially JD.
I prefer Marty's Tree than JD's Pretty Vegas though, but Pretty Vegas is more energetic.
The vibes did spread.

JD also has one more thing that no other contestants can beat, controversy.
He sells.
His blog gets the most comments.
People hate and love him, and what about his 'peace 448' meaning?

Ty and Deanna have gone.
Still I think Deanna has a unique and great voice!
Ty, he has a great voice too, but his attitude was a bit disturbing!
I lost appetite seeing him stuck out his tongue many times like that.
Dave even exclaimed 'ewwwww', and warned him more or less that 'this isn't that kind of show'.
If JD stuck out his tongue improperly like that too, I wouldn't fancy him either.

Ty's final words that pull the race card is really embarrassing.
Why blaming his defeat on other people?
I'm glad he's out!

Marzipan

Where to find and buy Marzipan in Jakarta?
It's been absent from Sogo Supermarket shelves since some years ago.
I know I probably will get some around Christmas time as usual.


I hope I will get it earlier when Xan come back for a holiday in here from the US,
but that'll be in October and that if she remembers! Still a too long wait, a doubtful one.

Anyone in the same city knows where to find Marzipan? Doesn't have to be fancy like those in Marzipan World though.
