How to describe Durian?

No offense to the durian lovers, but maybe this can describe Durian fruit best.
Don't let these conversations scare you away though :)))

I LURRRVVVE Durian!!! it truly is the king of fruit (if you can get past the smell...). It smells like an old stinky sock wrapped in a dirty diaper. but it tastes HEAVENLY......

If the taste can overcome that description it must truly be a marvel!
I can just imagine the experience. :stinkeye:

I totally agree with WonderRandy - durian smells really bad, like few-day old socks but it taste really good!!! It's sort of like fermented tofu that Taiwanese is famous for.

Side note, I had durian yesterday! This thread made me crave for some. It was one that was slightly bitter but sweet at the same time! The type that I lurrrve!!

I love durian season in Sumatera, Indonesia; you can pull in your truck to the durian field and load it with tons of the BEST QUALITY DURIAN ON EARTH......and eat it till you get drunk!
